Tenuta Sette Ponti sits in the land of Sangiovese and Chianti, not far from the historic town of Arezzo. The estate received its name from Antonio F. Moretti, who wanted to pay homage to the so-called Road Sette Ponti (Seven Bridges), which connects the banks of the River Arno between Florence and Arezzo.

Tenuta Sette Ponti holds 330 hectares of land, of which more than 50 are planted with vineyards—tended entirely without mechanization. Included are Sangiovese, but also some great "internationals", such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and a small selection of other varieties. The soil composition has a heterogeneous structure, well combined between clay, sand, limestone, and typical Chianti stone Galestro.

The grapes undergo a “one by one” manual selection when they arrive in the cellars. An open vat fermentation is preferred along with a gentle pressing to get the best aroma from the grapes without bitterness or excessive drying.

The 2022 Sette Ponti Oreno Proprietary Red Wine is a blend produced in Tuscany, Italy by the esteemed Sette Ponti winery. This wine is classified as a proprietary blend, which typically means it consists of a mix of varietals that are not specified on the label. The wine is a red in color and type, fitting well within the rich tradition of Tuscan red wines known for their bold flavors and complexity.

Though there are no specific varietals mentioned, proprietary blends from Tuscany often include Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. These varietals are known to deliver a balanced profile, combining the fruit-forward characteristics of Merlot, the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon, and the acidity and tannins of Sangiovese.

The 2022 vintage is still relatively young, and while no specific reviews have been provided for this particular bottle, Sette Ponti's Oreno line has historically received high praise from wine critics. Previous vintages of Oreno have been celebrated for their intense flavors, depth, and aging potential.

The wine's closure type and alcohol content have not been specified, but it can be assumed that the winery adheres to quality standards typical of high-end Tuscan wines. The absence of a detailed label description leaves the wine's nuances to be discovered by the taster.

In summary, the 2022 Sette Ponti Oreno Proprietary Red Wine is a promising blend from a reputable producer in Tuscany. While specific reviews for this vintage are not available, the wine's pedigree suggests it will likely be well-received by those who appreciate robust and complex red wines from Italy.
